What would you say to the young Marx today? I think it would be very surprised by one thing: young people think they are the "counterculture" to develop a critical knowledge, oppositional relation to capitalism ... In reality these young people, who think that freedom is in the joint - and not sure that there are oppressed people, that capitalism is increasingly imperialist and rise to exploitation and slavery - Marx would say, be careful, you think to be anti-capitalist but in reality you are ultracapitalisti, in that it is capitalism itself that wants a hyper-liberalization of all: drugs, sex, alcohol and so on. So I would say to young people: be careful not to lose what Lukács called "the passion of anti-sustainable".
